Leader Bios

SEAN HAYES | Sean (he/him) is a co-founder of Trans Plus and has been a community advocate for the trans community for 5 years now, and leads support groups, plans events, and is a resource for anyone seeking help, connection, and community. Sean works full time at Men As Peacemakers, a mainstream organization that does work around Intimate-Partner Violence (IPV). He loves his wife and kid, cats, coffee and super hero movies.


ABIGAIL GANNON | Abby (she/her) is a leader for Trans Plus and often facilitates the monthly support group. She works full time in Duluth as a Mental Health Practitioner (ARMHS Worker) at Accend Services. Abby and her wonderful wife have a whole mess of kids, she enjoys video games, cooking delicious foods, and sharing space and community with other trans folks.


NIKOLAI PAMBRUN | Niko (he/him) is a Trans Plus leader and a trans-masculine artist living with his 3 pit-bull babies. He works 90% of the time as a manager at Starbucks, but when he’s not working, he can be found rummaging around antique stores and buying way too many books.

ANNA KEMPTAR | Anna (she/her) is a Trans Plus leader and has been a high school art teacher in the area for 10 years. Anna and her partner have been together for 20 years and have 2 young children, both in primary school. Since beginning her own transition, she hopes to help other transitioners realize their goals.


QUINN BRISKI | Quinn (she/her) is a Trans Plus leader who moved to Duluth from East Central Minnesota back in 2017. She joined the Leadership Team in January of 2019, because she wanted to help create safe and welcoming places for other trans people. Quinn loves the outdoors and supporting local artists.


BRITNEY WOLF-LOCKHART | Britney (she/they) is a stay at home mom, activist in the queer community and studied the phenomenology of what it means to inhabit queer space. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her kids, partners, and friends. She is an avid gamer and lover of all dogs.


KATHLEEN CULHANE | Kathleen (she/her) is relatively new to the Twin Ports. She and her wife moved here in summer 2018, for Kathleen to take a position as the Head Brewer at Thirsty Pagan in Superior. Both are active in their church, UUCD, and both sing in the chorus there. Additionally, both are members of the Echoes of Peace choir. Kathleen has one adult daughter, who lives in Des Moines.
